By train from Valais
Starting in May 2015, extra trains will be running straight from Valais to the Expo station at Rho Milano Fiera, which is linked to the Expo site by a direct walkway.
It is worth booking as early as possible as SBB has a limited supply of reduced-rate tickets for all routes. The sooner you book, the more likely you’ll be to find a cheap ticket. All of SBB’s Expo offers for individual, corporate or group travel are listed on www.sbb.ch/expo2015 together with timetables.
From Milano Centrale
The Expo site can be reached from Milan by metro (Line 1 to Rho Fiera).
The Expo site is car free. Parking is available at “ex Alfa Romeo die Arese” (10,000 spaces) and “Via Novara” (1,500 spaces). Shuttle buses run at regular intervals between the car parks and the Expo site. A walkway connects the “Cascina Merlata” coach park (with space for 550 coaches) directly with the Expo site.
EXPO 2015 site plan
All visitors are required to use the main entrance, which is directly accessed from Rho Milano Fiera station by a walkway. From the main entrance, the Swiss Pavilion can be reached in around 15 minutes along the main axis, the “Decumano”, which is lined with the national pavilions on both sides. The host country Italy is represented on the “Cardo” axis.
