Furi trail

Leading through varied terrain in a natural preservation site, the Furi trail is leisurely and peaceful, and virtually free of automotive traffic. The aerial gondola takes you to Furi summit station where you start in the direction of Zermatt. The Matterhorn stands guard over its region, majestic and imposing. The route leads through a quiet and romantic landscape with a wealth of Alpine flora and rugged rock formations. The enchanting larch forest lets you catch glimpses of sunlight and huge mountains between its trees. Quiet spots, benches and superb vantage points with stunning views of the Valais peaks invite you to take a break. Hikers pass traditional chalets along the path, and the restaurants along the route are ideal for a relaxing break.
