St-Luc offers an unobstructed view over the Val d’Anniviers and its 4000-metre peaks, including the famous Matterhorn. Perched on the valley slope, the village enjoys particularly high levels of sunshine. St-Luc is the home of the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory and the Planets Trail, it is appropriately known as "the star resort". Those who enjoy wildlife and outdoor activities will find plenty to do in both summer and winter, as St-Luc has a variety of summer hiking trails that reach altitudes of more than 3000m, mountain bike trails and downhill routes, as well as a skiing area that links the resort with Chandolin, and winter hiking and snowshoeing trails.
