The mountain village of Champéry, nestled between the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches, is an ideal starting point for numerous winter sports. Within five minutes the Planachaux or the 6-seater chairlift Grand-Paradis take guests to the "Portes du Soleil" ski area. A snowpark meets the needs of freestylers. And the more adventurous can try their hand at ice climbing, tobogganing or paragliding. A highlight of the ski resort is the run at Pas de Chavanette, often simply called "Le Mur Suisse" (the Swiss Wall) – it is one of the steepest in the world.
