Dream descents

The incredible Valais descents offer skiers unadulterated and endless fun. The descents are up to 17 kilometres long – non-stop, without ever having to use a ski lift. Some physical fitness is essential. And especially the love of skiing. And off you go down the perfect pistes, from the high peaks down into the valley. With fantastic carving conditions, challenging slopes and headlong schusses. The only reason for skiers to stop are the many picturesque ski huts situated along the pistes.

The Hohstock Dream Ride
Blatten Belalp Blatten-Belalp Switzerland
The Hohstock experience is breathtaking. It is, what the Belalp motto literally stands for: «A Little Closer to Heaven. » Your descent begins, where others enjoy their peak wine - at 3100 m a.s.l. After passing through a short tunnel, you will dive off an exhilarating piste. The slope is up to 60% steep. After fresh snow (which we have a lot of in the most snow-reliable region of the Alps) the maidenly ungroomed slope, which is secured from avalanches, is opened for freeriders for a short time. The Hohstock piste ends at 2320 m a.s.l. with an invitation to a well-deserved mulled wine. Those, who haven't had enough, can continue their lines down to Blatten - this would be the original route of the legendary Witches' Descent with a length of 12 km and an altitude difference of 1778 metres!
