Castle church and Rainer Maria Rilke’s Tomb

Rainer Maria Rilke himself chose his final resting place in this mystical place at the foot of the castle church. The architect Ulrich Ruffiner built the St. Romanus castle church between 1510 and 1517, which includes the old defence tower from the 12th century. The castle church is situated at the beginning of a rock jutting out into the valley. The old rectory houses today the castle's museum.
