Whether you arrive by public transport, car or plane, the Valais offers outstanding transport connections in all directions and, since the opening of the Lötschberg Base Tunnel, is even quicker to reach than before. Our advice: turn your journey to the Valais into an experience by using the excellent Alpine passes in summer and autumn. You will be amazed by the diversity of the region’s landscape and culture. Rail traffic information

Switzerland: Direct lines from Basle, Bern, Geneva airport, Lausanne and Zurich airport every 30 min.

From abroad: Direct lines from Freiburg, Köln, Wiesbaden, Hamburg, Dortmund, Luxembourg, Brussels, Florence, Rome, Venezia-Milan, Strasbourg and Paris (TGV). Connections with the entire European network.

Shortening of the travelling time by more than an hour thanks to the Lötschberg-Basis Tunnel.
