Thirteen of the highest peaks in the Alps at a glance

Anzère is a holiday resort situated on a sunny hillside high above Sion, the ‘capital’ of the Valais. The village itself features a number of typical holiday complexes, all of which enjoy fantastic views of the mountains.
What makes the spectacular backdrop so special is the fact that it includes no fewer than thirteen peaks higher than 4000 m – at least according to the orientation panels along the trail. And these thirteen include the highest of them all, namely the Dom, which is 4545 m high, and Mont Blanc, which at 4807 m high is the highest mountain in the Alps. This winter hike starts at Les Rousses middle station and takes you in a huge arc back down to Anzère. And you will pass an inviting wayside restaurant as well! The Tsalan’s spacious terrace is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the self-service buffet is anything but average. Bon apétit.
