Anzère
Tseuzier Dam
The Tseuzier Dam (also known as Zeuzier or Rawyl Dam) is an arch dam close to Anzère.
Finhaut
Emosson Dam
The Emosson resevoir, situated above the Trient Valley, was brought into service in 1972 to satisfy a high demand for electricity from all over the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Grimentz
Moiry Dam
The Moiry Dam at the head of the Grimentz Valley was brought into service in 1958.
Hérémence
Grande Dixence Dam
Situated at the head of the Val des Dix, Grande Dixence is the highest gravity dam in the world, and something of a record-breaker ! The height of its wall, 285 metres, remains unmatched. Its weight, approximately 15 million tonnes, makes it heavier than the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
Liddes
Les Toules Dam
The Barrage des Toules is situated on the Grand St-Bernard road, heading for the famous pass.
